DOCUMENTARIES
As a Literature, Media, and Communication major at Georgia Tech, I took multiple classes surrounding the principles of filmmaking. With my classmates, I have made two substantial short films about ordinary people and their strength in a controversial world. With these experiences, I have learned all the highs and lows of the filmmaking business. We found the perfects locations, and collected some beautiful shots. We had our trouble with the weather. We set up interviews and received a lot of valuable insight to these amazing peoples' lives. We also learned how to combat audio and lighting issues. We learned how to produce and advertise our own films, as well as keep track of the multitude of permission forms. We learned to appreciate praise, but also understand and grow from criticism. It was these films that allowed me to fully immerse myself in every aspect of the filmmaking process.
